John joined the staff of WBF in May of 2002 as Intern in charge of Discipleship and Small Groups. He was ordained in May of 2003 and
became Executive Pastor in June of that year. John became Senior Pastor at WBF in April of 2005.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, John was adopted at an early age and blessed with two of the most loving parents a guy could ask for. They raised him with a high sense of value, love and commitment for the people around him. He met and married his wife of 28 years, Kelly while living in Orlando, Florida.
John moved to Virginia in 1980 and received Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1981. All along, God was equipping and readying John and Kelly for their call to ministry at WBF. The hallmark of their ministry has been the foundational value and authority of the Word of God applied to our daily lives. John lives in Warrenton with Kelly and their son, Jason, a student at Lord Fairfax Community College. They have a daughter, Ruth, who lives in Rutland Vermont with her husband, Todd Eaton. They were blessed with their first baby (and John & Kelly's first grandchild!) last October.
Kelly is a professional photographer, specializing in weddings and portraits and is an enthusiastic participant in the worship program at WBF and oversees the Prayer Chain.
John is a strong proponent of one-on-one Scripture based counseling, energetic Christ-centered worship, discipling and expository preaching.
In this light, he sees the ministry goals of WBF as equipping and enabling the Body of Christ to walk in its' greatest calling, the proclamation of the full and undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ to God's honor and glory.

Bob was presented with the truth of salvation and the reality of sin as a third grader. On that Saturday his life was changed forever. In February of 1984, God affirmed His call on Bob's life to full-time ministry. Bob finished that year at the University of Maryland then enrolled at Washington Bible College where I met Carla, his wife.
Over the years they have worked with several churches in multiple areas of ministry including Youth Groups and Children’s Ministries. They moved to Warrenton in 1996 to manage the Almond Tree Christian Bookstore for Carla’s father until he could move into the area. That was when they started attending Warrenton Bible Fellowship. As part of Bob's continuing education, he decided to go back to school for a Master’s Degree in Theology which, received in 1999 from Carolina University of Theology. He completed an Internship with Warrenton Bible Fellowship and was ordained in December 1999 by WBF and a council of local Pastors.
Bob and Carla have been married for almost 19 years. They homeschool their 4 children: Brice, Drew, Collin, and Autumn.
Bob believes that a pastor’s calling extends beyond the immediate congregation into a city or an area. Pastors equip Saints to reach out into the community and point others to Jesus Christ. Bob's vision for WBF is that it is a place where everyone is drawn into a deeper relationship with Christ. He transforms lives, and it is my hope that we will be known as a people and a place that points people to Jesus. Bob is looking forward to see how God uses his gifts and abilities to edify and equip the Body of Christ here in Warrenton. Eph 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
