Why Apollos?
Apollos is a course offered to men and women who wish to discover the truth of Scripture, named after a New Testament man of high intelligence who began preaching before his understanding of the truth was fully developed. In Acts 18:24-28 it is told that Apollos was open to being taught "the way of God more accurately" by a couple, Priscilla and Aquila. Apollos soon became one of the most influential preachers and is mentioned in I Cor. as being at the same level as Paul. If you want to learn more about what you believe and this Jesus we follow, this class is for you.
About the Class:
Apollos is a 15 week course that utilizes a variety of study aids and resources in demonstrating how to dig deeper into the Scriptures. Using the WBF Statement of Faith and selected passages from the Bible, students will learn how to be "Bereans", discovering the truth of the Word of God from their own commitment and study. Assignments and and exercises include research papers, class discussions and presentations. The class is highly interactive, informative and challenging.
